Pensioner gets 30 years for double murder over garden hose dispute

A Melbourne man who shot and killed two of his neighbours over a water hose dispute has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. Rodney John Lee appeared via video link from the prison for his sentencing and was seen sleeping through parts of the hearing.

 

His neighbours have recounted run-ins with the wheelchair-bound 74-year-old, alleging he had previous encounters with police and had been banned by local establishments for his aggressive behaviour.

Ex-boyfriend of aged care worker Jasmeen Kaur has been sentenced to 22 years in prison by the Adelaide Supreme Court.

 

The court heard Tarikjot Singh had abducted Ms Kaur after her shift at an aged care home and buried her alive in South Australia's Flinders Ranges.
