'Thanks for Caring': Honouring our care workers

Yesterday the aged care sector celebrated the fifth Australian Aged Care Employee Day. This year's 'Thanks for Caring' theme pays tribute to the 360,000 nurses and aged care workers across the country who help keep the aged care industry afloat. This day recognises each and every team member involved in caring for the 1.3 million older Australians receiving home care or residential care services.

Retired racehorse Osborne Bulls visited the residents of Hammond Care's Strathearn House on the occasion of his tenth birthday. Lovingly nicknamed Ozzie, he spent his day engaging with the residents in equine therapy.
