Famous rapper donates thousands to help fight off developers

American rapper and Death Row Records owner Snoop Dogg has donated USD $10,000 to a 93-year-old woman fighting developers to save a piece of her land. The singer and song writer took to Instagram to show his support which made way for other fellow artists who reached out to show their solidarity towards Josephine Wright's battle

HCCC hears aged care worker allegedly left resident tied to a chair

The The HCCC investigation found that the Personal Care Assistant allegedly restrained the sleeping resident as she sat in a recliner in the dining room for over six hours before two other staff members found her.
The 48-year-old carer was charged with one count of common assault domestic violence related, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Older woman beaten to death by fellow dementia resident at Sydney facility

An 89-year-old resident has been beaten to death by a male resident with a walking frame. The fellow 86-year-old resident who also lives with dementia caused severe injuries to Joan Hobbs' face, arms and bones. Her family have said they wouldn't wish this upon their worst enemy as they couldn't do much to save her.

Nurse plagued by PTSD having witnessed older patient's face catch on fire

A former Victorian nurse has taken  Sunshine Hospital in St Albans to court after a traumatising incident that occurred in the operation theatre in 2020. Marilyn Espinola states that ever since the unfortunate episode, she has been experiencing several panic attacks in a week and has been diagnosed with PTSD and major depression.

NT Elders finally receive their own slice of "Little Heaven"

20 long years in the making, East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory's Nhulunbuy has finally opened its first culturally-appropriate care facility.
The first-of-its-kind facility was constructed after years of fighting from Yolngu Elders. The facility includes a dialysis unit and allows Elders to stay on Country and receive end-of-life care.
